Jean-Michel Gurret is the founder and president of the Institut Francophone de Psychothérapie Émotionnelle et Cognitive, a leading French training institute for Clinical EFT. He is registered as a psychotherapist, has authored fifteen books, translated and adapted books in English on meditation and EFT, and is a certified lecturer and trainer in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and energy psychology.
Trained in psychopathology and cognitive-behavioral therapies at the AFTCC (Association Française des Thérapies Cognitivo-Comportementales), he is one of the few trainers in France to have practiced EFT in a psychiatric institution in addition to his private practice. He was the first French person to be certified by the American Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) in EFT.
As a psychotherapist and trainer, Jean-Michel Gurret has contributed very significantly to the development of EFT in France and elsewhere in the world, including as a volunteer in Haiti.
